going around
Sometimes, you turn that corner and jump into people’s life. Was it meant to be? Was it just your attitude? Maybe both. The truth is that special people are sometimes only two steps away from you. If your eyes and ears are wide open, you may be lucky enough to see them.
Sharing a trip to Amsterdam, an architecture, coffee and food, truly makes life sweet! Doesn’t it?!
Qualche volta, basta girare l’angolo per incontrare persone meravigliose. E’ destino? O solo la tua predisposizione? Forse entrambi. La verità è che gente speciale è qualche volta a pochi passi da te. Se i tuoi occhi e le tue orecchie saranno abbastanza aperti, forse sarai in grado di vederla. Condividere un viaggio ad Amsterdam, un’architettura, un caffè e del cibo, rende davvero la vita dolcissima! Non è così?!
Suddenly I see the light
Today at 11 am, I stepped into this apartment that I am renovating and …suddenly, after a couple of months of works…I saw it. I saw it different…I saw it the way I thought it would be.
Light was overwhelming and, for the first time, it showed me the change. I saw my imagination come true.
I stopped for a moment. And sat. And thought: this is the power of my job.
Somehow we, as Architects, make ideas come true; not only true but …fisically real; this is a very big gift.
Those walls that I know so well, brick by brick, those proportions that I thought about for weeks, those volumes that I first saw in my mind….now they exist. A new environnement was born…
and I realised that… I should stop, and sit, and think a little more often.
Oggi alle 11 di mattina, sono entrata in questo appartamento che sto ristrutturando e….improvvisamente, dopo alcuni mesi di lavori, l’ho visto.
L’ho visto diverso…..l’ho visto come l’avevo dall’inizio immaginato.
La luce era abbagliante ed ha illuminato nitidamente per la prima volta il cambiamento. Ho visto la mia immaginazione diventare realtà.
Per un momento mi sono fermata. E mi sono seduta. E ho pensato: questo è il potere del mio lavoro.
In qualche modo, noi architetti trasformiamo le idee in realtà, in una realtà fisica; e questo è un grande privilegio. Quei muri che conosco così bene, mattone per mattone, quelle proporzioni alle quali ho pensato per settimane, quei volumi che prima ho visto solo nella mia mente, ora esistono. Un nuovo ambiente è nato…
e mi sono resa conto che… dovrei fermarmi, sedermi e pensare un pò più spesso.

After two years of hopes, work and stories…finally here it is….simple and light, decise and gentle, short and intense. Everything that passed through my professional life during the last years, is in this website.
